Somal Refractories has a licensing agreement with a British Company for some of our products.
The licensing agreement has enabled Vulcan refractories, a United Kingdom based, manufacturer of Nitrite Bonded Silicon Carbide refractories and Infrared heaters to transfer their Infra-red heater production to India and given Somal Refractories the opportunity to enter into the market of technical ceramics.

Representatives from Somal Refractories travelled to Vulcan’s factory in Liverpool  and subsequently Vulcan representatives visited Somal Refractories in Ludhiana with the aim of transferring the technology to us and we are happy to share that the production of the infrared heaters will begin by 2025

Gursimar Somal, managing director of Somal Refractories, stated that this agreement signifies the increasing trust in Indian companies for manufacturing critical components and will give a boost to the manufacturing sector of Ludhiana and encourage other players in the region to look for such opportunities.
